The Legend of Gethzerian
Viscious creatures bent on domination and oppression of lesser species, the Bloodspear Orcs are one of the most powerful forces on Nentir when they put themselves to task
The Bloodspear Orcs rose to power after the collapse of Arkhosia, expanding their territory out in all directions from Stonefang pass.
Several hundred years ago the Bloodspears sought to move into Nentir Vale. In an unholy alliance with a Drow, they became involved in the kidnapping incident surrounding Prince Netrani D’Orda of Nerath. In the campaign that followed they laid waste to the Iron Council, a Dwarven kingdom in the Dawnforge Mountains (Present day Hammerfast). Not sated with the blood of the Dwarves they began to impose themselves upon the nothern settlements of Nerath, devastating the town of Fallcrest, and effectively cutting the Vale off from the rest of Nerath. Eventually, the Dwarves overthrew their oppressors and marched into the Vale, driving the Bloodspears into a renewed Nerathi charge led by D’Orda himself. The Orcs retreated back beyond StoneFang pass, except for one particularly stubborn group which held their grip on the Necropolis of Hammerfast. This occupation was only settled by divine means, with a tenous agreement between Gruumsh and Moradin allowing a curious cohabitation of the dead city.
